Yesterday morning, my blood started boiling after watching this:
The Republican Party in the US has completely turned into a lunatic freakshow, with its non-stop outrageous claims and paranoia. Their members seem to be living in a parallel universe, which unfortunately coexists with our own. Watching the nuttiness above reminds me of an ad for an episode of LOST or Battlestar Galactica. The GOP tries so hard to be relevant by using the visual language of pop culture, but it forgets that there really is a separation between fantasy and reality. They seem to be caught up in vicious circle of life imitating art, err, art imitating life. Honestly, I can't tell anymore...perhaps the current conservative movement is the true heir of Postmodernism?
